Publisher Guidelines

Article Guidelines:

  1. Your article should be between 500 and 5000 words long. The 500-word minimum requirement is waived for submissions to the Recipes and Poetry sections. Exceptions for submissions to other categories are considered on an individual basis.

  2. Your title should not contain more than 200 characters.

  3. Your article summary should be one to five sentences in length.

  4. Your biographical information should not be too lengthy  (we recommend two to six sentences).

  5. The body of your article should not contain more than five links, and none of them should be blatantly self-promotional.

  6. Your resource box should not contain more than three links.

  7. Your article should be free of grammatical and spelling errors.

  8. Your article should not read like an ad. Use your resource box-- not the body of your article-- to promote your business or website.

  9. Your article should stand on its own, i.e. it should not require the reader to click on a link to get to the main content.

  10. Avoid too much hype in your resource box.  The purpose of the resource box is not to sell your readers something, but to lead them to your website which does the actual selling.
